about me

Pookin is a ridiculous family nickname, my real name is Caroline and I am a designer and illustrator. I live in Bridgend in South Wales with my 2 wonderful children.

After graduating I worked as a Graphic Designer for 5 years before moving on to working in the greetings industry. I designed giftwrap and greetings cards for the UK high-street which ignited a fascination for surface pattern design. My personal style is often heavily influenced by bold colours and fun typography, more than anything I hope to create work that brings people joy.

Being a designer is just one of my passions, I try to make time for my other interests including swimming in the sea, listening to podcasts, and teaching my children to skateboard (without any broken bones).
